How Lazy Are We?

11 Jan

looking sideways seductively doesn't make this any sexier...

In our automated world, where there is little reason to utilize fine motor skills, yet another piece of useless nonsense cloaked as “practical fashion” bares its ugly head in the marketplace. This is J.C. Penny’s version of the Snuggie (via cocoperez). It’s the illegitimate lovechild of a bath robe and a Snuggie, you know, in case someone is too lazy to put on clothing, but doesn’t think it’s appropriate to leave the house in a bath robe??? Is that the designers’ logic?

Wouldn’t this little ditty make lazy living more uncomfortable? Are people who mope around in their pajamas all day that concerned about the definition of both of their legs in an in-house outfit? I could understand if this was some sexy one piece, but come on. No seduction can take place in this outfit.

Isn’t this just a onesie in disguise?

Next thing you know, there will be new versions with buttons in the crotch-butt area to allow easy bathroom breaks. Wait, forget I said that. Patenting and making some money off of immobile blanket-robe wearers. Here I come, Dragon’s Den.

Now no making fun of these brilliant innovations. I have a Snuggie. It’s awesome.

Also – I’ve always wanted an adult onesie, but people keep telling me no. It makes me sad.

I can somewhat understand Snuggie logic, but this bathrobe thing? Nuh uh.

Perhaps those people telling you know are just being good friends 🙂 / I hope you have a zebra print snuggie. That makes it all okay!
