Forget Them Not

11 Nov

Today is November 11th – Armistice day, Remembrance day, Veterans day, whatever you want to call it.

WWII vets are a dying breed. Sad but true. This is why documentation and preservation of their stories is so important.

I was chatting with a woman who has a number of vets in her family. She will sit with you for hours telling their stories, showing you physical pieces of family history. The last remaining vet in her family does not have the memory he had. He cannot remember his experiences serving his country.

We remember because those men and women at the front lines are forgetting.
